THE FIRST WORLD WAR 1914-1918 - 2

There are many books and poems written about the First World War.

One of the most well known books is All Quiet On The Western Front. Written by Erich Maria Remarque it is the war as seen through German eyes. To read about the author see:

Other books worth a read are The Guns Of August (1962) is an enormously popular military history book written by Barbara Wertheim Tuchman and Birds Without Wings by Louis De Bernieres which focuses on the Turkish involvement in the First World War.
